Home Sweet Home

To get the proper perspective of Roger and the Tiger Shark you have to realize that the Tiger is behind the bubbles and Roger is in front of the bubbles. It is estimated that she is about 13-14 foot.

I know these manta photos are a bit grainy and blurry and such. But I was trying out photographing them with no strobe and Even though the photos are not quite the quality I would like them to be, I think it Definitely gives you a better feel of what the dive is really like. Anyways.

Amazonas

Amazon was rad, Crazy big river, monkeys everywhere, Freshwater pink dolphins, cruising through the mangroves at night with a bunch of glowing eyes stare me down, tons of gnarly mosquitoes and other bugs. All around an epic trip.

People and Pigeons and Panos

Well Ryan, sorry for being a subject stealer; seeing how you got the rad shot of the pigeon first. But I saw the opportunity in Bogota's City Square, where there are thousands of them and venders sell corn so people can feed them. So, I thought to myself hey this looks freakin rad. Anyways................

Anyways, Bogota is a amazingly beautiful Huge City (Over 9.5 Millon People) that is going to be hard to explore just a little corner of. Good Food, Good People and some rictor times. Until next time..........!

Pelagic Manta at the Pipe......

So I spotted a Pelagic Manta Ray today at Keahole Point and it apparently has not been ID'd before. Which means that I get the honors of naming the Manta for Manta Pacific Research Foundation. Pretty stoked but not as stoked as I was when I first caught glimpse of this beautiful creature. Its wing span was over 18 feet and had two good sized remoras on its back. I think she was as curious about me as I was about her. I was able to swim right up and cruise along side her for about a minute or so, until I was huffing and puffing so much there was just no possible way to keep up any longer. This was a much needed dive.

A video I put together..... Sorry for the quality.....

I'll try and post it in a few at better quality for the full effect. But you get the idea.
Anyways I thought it wasn't bad for a first attempt and a couple hours of work.
